its onboard.... I don't think the updated driver is going to do much lol.
Time to get a real computer....The following is a 'real' computer, the specs are from my computer:
Intel Core i7 965, ASUS Rampage II Extreme, G.SKILL Pi Black DDR3-1600 PC3-12800 6GB CL 8-8-8-21, Sapphire Radeon HD 4870 X2, Samsung Spinpoint F1 1TB, LG GH22NS30 DVD Writer, Corsair HX1000W, Windows XP Professional, Windows Vista Home Premium x64, Cooler Master HAF 932, Samsung SyncMaster 245T, Razer Lycosa Mirror, Razer Lachesis Wraith Red, Razer Destructor
Reputation: 24This is pretty bad O.o
How is this new specs? Like is this a new comp? got more ram? what?
Cause a new driver really wont do much xD
Reputation: 10Well i dont got no slots for gfx cards so i think the best card i can get is gonna be the Geforce fx 5200 or the 5500
Can i play mordern games with that on medium or something?
haha, i think 4870x2 crossfireX is overboard...unless you run 2560x1600 or something lol.
edit: @hung, i think you should build/buy a new pc or something
Reputation: 24I say save up for a new comp.
You're in the need of one.
Can you tell us the brand of your motherboard & model, as then we can tell you if you actually have some of the newer technologies that came with the driver you updated for the vidcard...however I have a feeling you've got an older onboard vidcard and don't have access to stuff like SM4, etc.
Reputation: 10I am but this is the best im gonna get for awhile dudes.
Im not trying to play anything like crysis
just some modern games atleast because usually on system requirementslab
i never pass any of the games just because of the shaders but now i do so im
just looking for something to kill the time. btw how much did you comp cost The Canadian?
Hold on im trying to find out the motherboard
Reputation: 10
SRL may be saying your passing some of the games now, because of the driver update that you did...but believe me it won't run them properly if you try to play them.
My laptop passed the SRL test for Crysis, but I know for a fact that that laptop would not play it at all.
My computer cost around CAD$5000.
and i cant find out how to check my motherboard haha
To find out, you can try Belarc Advisor:
http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html
Does anyone know of similiar utilities?
Reputation: 10Lol bro i tried that and had NO idea where the motherboard was
Reputation: 10I had a feeling that was it but it doesnt sound right.
Board: Sony Corporation VAIO
Bus Clock: 200 megahertz
BIOS: Phoenix Technologies LTD R0220Q0 05/25/2007
Seeing as how I have the money to spend, does it really matter what I bought with my money...just because you don't have that kind of money means nothing to me!
Try CPU-Z, see if that gives you more info.
When did you buy your PC; I see it's a Sony VAIO -- at least I think it is...but what model of VAIO?
Reputation: 24you can go to start>accessories>run>type in "dxdiag" save the info by clicking the button in the bottom left>copy the info inside>paste it here.
Unless you already did that.
Reputation: 10The model is the sony vaio VGN-CR140E
hold on witht he cpu-z my comps being gay
He's using a notebook, Hung, you really need to get a desktop...or spend some money on a gaming laptop if you want portability.
Reputation: 10This laptops 10x better then my desktop so its gonna be here for awhile lol
but anyways cpuz gives me the same info
Be that as it may, you're going to find playing games on that not to work all that well...I had a newer laptop than you and I went to SysReqLab to see what it could play and I passed quite a few things; for example: Project Snowblind, ran slow so I turned all the settings to minimum and it ran slow yet SRL said I could run it because my laptop was right in the middle of minimum requirements & maximum requirements.
Reputation: 10Dam well im just gonna dl and finds which ones i can play and stick with it i guess.
