I'm having a hard time deciding

Tired of free to plays seriously, I want one game I can stick with and p2p is my best bet, I'm sure I can stick with either game but deciding what one I would like better is pretty damn hard.

We are not you, Kitsuna. Really only you can decide which game you will like better. No matter what we say about which game, our pick of the two will not help you in deciding which one YOU will like better.

Let me give you an example of what I mean.

If possible, I would get a 1 month subscription of one game, play it for that month, record your experience, then get a 1 month subscription of the other game, play that one for a month, and compare your experiences. In my opinion, it is better to fully test these games for one month each rather than play one for six months, realize you don't like it as much as you thought, then have those 6 months of subscription flushed down the toilet. Just thinking economically.

Well you could try both of these games before you buy them.LOTR has a trial on their site and Warhammer has a 7 day buddy pass on the US servers that somebody would probably give you.The EU Warhammer hasn't got this feature yet or I would give you one.

I've tried LOTRO trial and I bought WAR. I'd say go with WAR, especially if ur into PvP, which is really good in WAR. Make sure to pick a highly populated server.

I love pvp but hows WARS community? I'm guessing there's a lot of e-peen stroking involved .

a live update expansion is coming in march, so there adding new maps and 2 new classes, they will be taking good care of the game for some time, you cant go wrong with war.

i have not played lotr because i like pvp with a little pve, war gets my vote and yes i do currently play war.

Okay yes this is somewhat of a vs thread but I don't want to see flames because onrpg people must be more mature then you act (I hope) so if you have problems with this you should kindly and quietly leave this thread. Okay so my birthday is coming up and I'm getting a new computer and want to get myself a fun P2p game to play for awhile. I've been looking at two main games. Lord of the rings online and warhammer age of reckoning. I did my research but I'm still having a hard time choosing so who better to ask then a gaming community for some insight. I would prefer people who have played both (even if just a little) what there opinions are about both games. They both look great (Lotro is hella fun so far just from the trial) I know warhammer: pvp lotro: pve

Whats warhammers pve like? what makes it so fun? or so bad if you didn't like it. I would like some opinions (Non flaming bait ones preferred) I would try Warhammer for myself if they had a free trial to get but I need to buy the game to play so that's my excuse for this.

P2P is a big leap. For sanity's sake, I'd say stick with F2P. They might be lower quality in most cases, but once you start with that monthly fee, you're suckered, whipped, and bought until you really decide you can't play anymore. If you start paying, you feel compelled to play it to get your money's worth; that's where they get you.

The whole point of me getting p2p is for quality. I won't be suckered in considering this is my way to get away from the computer more because I only have one game to play instead of slowing my computer down with a million low quality f2p games.

Anyway thanks for the suggestions. I'm probably going WAR for now. Despite hearing all the bad things about EA always shutting down there games.

God damn, okay so I looked at the WAR forums and yeah, I'm not liking what I'm seeing at all. Lotro's community is a million times better. Everyone is flaming and e-peen stroking.
