Anyone care to help me with resolving nprotect... or perhaps recommending a game?

So far, I have tried a few games out. And they all use nProtect which seems to be the bane of gamers all around. For the few games I tried out, I keep getting "a hack program has been detected" or some variant of that. Can anyone suggest any workarounds/fixes or perhaps a game that's similar to these games but do not use nProtect? (I'm asking this since I'm tired of waiting for about half an hour for the dl/install time + ~10 minutes figuring out how to play the game + hours figuring out what the heck is wrong with the nProtect company)

try shut down anti virus, close firewall. dont use a proxy.
