It has a bizarre sense of humor alright, also i would recommend downloading 1.13 or 1.14 (not 1.14 fix 3 to 5 or 1.16 as they are unstable) but some quest's are not translated in 1.13 that's why i suggest 1.14
Also note that the game is Translated from Japanese so make sure you actually select English on start-up (it's not the default) pretty much everything is translated but there are a few loose ends (that do not affect playability just thing's that are almost exclusively thing's you would not be interested in to begin with)
