Reputation: 733ive heard great things of the e8400 and i saw it alot in high end computers
its one of the best dual core gaming cpus you can get
about the amd one
i basically heard anything of it, except for the fact it had one huge calculating error, which i had heard from my it tutor and a friend, still i would like a confirirmation from someone else on this forum to be sure
my choice: the e8400
you still might want to consider someone else before deciding though

I should update this but all my effort went into writing this lousy excuse.
I will pick AMD, becuz its quad-core & has 8 MB cache, while the Intel one is only dual-core & has 6 MB cache![]()
Reputation: 16Personally, AMD = optimized for gaming with the exception of the NEW intel i7 cores...or whatever. Intel i7 > any current AMD.
AMD is a great value. Very cheap.
Intel = great for gaming but more for running apps, multi tasking and fast internet etc...or at least thats what I noticed from owning 2 amd comps and 2 intel comps.
hmm... out of those two, I'd pick the AMD. only get intel if your gonna back it up with a lot of ram / great graphic card.
Windows XP = AMD better.
Vista = INTEL.
