Killzone 2

Anyone here got Killzone 2 yet? I got my copy this morning, and I've got to say, it's THE best FPS i've ever played. Single player is awesome, with smart A.I., and the multiplayer is just chaos, the good kind.

My most favourite part of the game so far has to be the sniper rifle mechanic. For those that dont have it, when you zoom in with the sniper scope, it uses the sixaxis to model the scope shaking in your hand. If you move the PS3 controller, the gun shakes. So when you zoom in to snipe, you have to hold your controller perfectly steady to stop the gun from shaking (and you'd be surprised how much concentration that takes). It brings a whole new element to sniping.

Never have I had more fun using a sniper rifle. This is the first game where i actually had to find a good spot and slowly and steadily aim my sniper rifle to pick off enemies, the way its meant to be. Instead of just running around, zooming in when you need to and firing off shots normally, using a button to 'hold your breath' to steady the aim (not saying that was bad thing, just that killzone has taken a big step forward in my book).

If any PS3 owners dont have it yet, make sure you get your hands on a copy, unless you REALLY hate FPSes in general...

I'm in Australia...it's now 12:54 AM, 28th of February. I got the game earlier in the morning. So we sorta got it earlier over here. Also, from what I'm gathering from other forums, lotta places are sold out and some places have delayed pre orders. Good thing about being in Australia...very few people are that hardcore. I walked in at 11am this morning, they had copies at the back for me, I didn't have to pre order or anything, let alone making the effort of going to a midnight launch like some people are planning on doing...

MGO looks fun.

It's decent.

If you're in the right match, it actually feels like you're playing a Metal Gear game that is online. Otherwise, it's just ruined by glitchers and people who spam RPGs.

There's not a lot of weaponry, and the whole skill system is kind of lame in implementation, and the only way to kill someone is a headshot, which isn't very cool.

Why would I play MGO? I ****ing hate Metal Gear Solid, such a terrible game with the worst plot since Final Fantasy 7.

Someone piss in your coffee this morning? How was I supposed to know you hate MGO? I was just giving the one example of a PS3 game I've played online. No need to flip out, sir.
