yeah the RRoD is wasy to fix. the most common problem is overheating, so what you do is you take apart the 360, take off the X brackets on the CPU and GPU, re-apply thermal paste, put it back together and viola, its fixed

Reputation: 60I'd rather not void a warranty that I should have for another three months at least.
Reputation: 118by the time you send the xbox in, they fix it, and send it back itll be three months. its not that hard, just like taking the side off a computer
actualy i remember reading that the extended warranty for the red ring was over =/ about 2 months ago to.
Reputation: 33Yeah RRODs suck. I remember when the 360 that I had been keeping in my car sarted to RROD. It was an 2005 model and it was out of standard warrenty. I had to call Microsoft and they went ahead and took care of everything. There was even a few days of delay and I ended up getting a free year of live out of it. They also sent me a spare 20GB, which I returned because I'm sure there was someone who needed it more.
I think my Dev kit is going to die soon. It's about time I get a new one anyway though.
EVERY Xbox 360 warranty is 3 years under the RROD cause. It will never end.
TBH my Xbox Rrod'd twice but i just turn it off for like 2 minutes and it starts to work perfectly..
