Are there any tutorials on how to customize bbclean? I've downloaded the client but I'm lost :s

I'm thinking of doing a couple screencasts, but I'm not sure which programs I should use to do it with. Most of them put out videos that are like, 10gigs and its annoying.

Any suggestions?
