Vista or XP?

Well, first everyone *****es how UNIX/LINUX has a more sophisticated user-privilege control (= security).

Than they bring it over and people find it annoying.

Funny to me; I didn't turn it off, I also wouldn't advice people too.

People can give it a shot, if it's bothering them too much, they can get rid of it as mentioned.

yea, everytime you want to run an application is good in the beginning, but after a while its annoying

what really bothered me is the waiting time after you downloaded an executable
it doesnt even say whats its doing untill 20mins later when its starts to run suddenly

Ya I know what you mean, I have that too at times.

Also I have a feeling at times, that even "vista ready" virus scanners some times have probs with the whole thing.

Often you can trigger the question, buy starting a program that needs admin, but it's probably the only shortcoming of Vista atm, besides the too cluttered networking management I can think of.

pretty much thesame setup, except for intel c2d e6550 and a 8800gts 320mb (i presume you have a 8800gt)

you shouldnt have problems running vista

I would stick with XP. I still have XP on my pc but messed around with Vista on others. Not that great.

mines the same except i have a AMD X2 5600+

vista runs flawlessly

no games lagg whatsoever and service pack 1 fixed ALOT of stuff

upgrade man, you wont be disappointed
