Where are all the supposed DarkFall players ?

I remember there are quite a bunch of people over in this forum who were hyping up and preaching how DarkFall is gonna kick other MMOs' asses, hailing it as "the" PVP MMORPG to play.

Since then, I have only seen one person posting a screenshot (no. of DF SS stands at 1 for now) while the rest just blabbered how awesome their holy grail is and eventually faded away.

So, how's the game doing ? Curious to ask from the exclusive group who supposedly P2P the game (since they were always saying how good the game was), especially Powster.

Don't tell me what I already know. I just wanna find out what's new since its the most hyped game these few months with quite a number of onRPG ppl pledging to buy and play the game and flamed all who criticized the way the game is being managed.

People wanted to play so bad, then when it came out, their were arguments and stuff and people flaming the game that hasn't even played it yet!

well, they only let like 10,000 people in(STILL have queues). the smallest launch in the history of mmo's. it's understandable nobody here is saying anything about it. the publishers quickly learned how the game was and bailed, leaving them to have to do this small 1 server release. darkfall looks absolutely horrible, but just because people aren't talking about it here doesn't mean they were wrong. just means they haven't won the lotto yet.

Yeah but there were around 10 people here who were fiercely protective of the game, and I expected at least one to come up with a review of sorts.

I just think either A) everyone lied, said they were going to buy it, but never did, and lied to make their defense of the game plausible, or

people are playing, but its as everyone said, crap, and are too ashamed to even post about it anymore. Both imo are true, I mean only until recently there have been "new" copies made open to people, but other than that, they are kinda going in a astray direction, and with their new alliance crap or w.e they are doing, its like they are taking a page out of WAR's book.

I believe this game will do ok.It definitely won't Take over the MMO market,but it will maintain a nich like community,almost like "cult" popularity.

Their are worse games out their after all,then again they don't charge 50 bucks + sub fee with no purchasable box set or anything

Pah, yeah, I predicted that this would happen right when I saw the first post about how "glorious" this game looked last year. I remember how everyone was boasting and saying how the graphics were "the shit".

Something I'd be willing to do, since I wish to try DF myself, is to purchase a copy and all that, try it myself, then let others try it out for a bit.
Problem is, there'd be like...to many people wanting to try it.

it looks more like how GW is (meaning in free realms any fighting is taken place in an instanced place) while everything else isnt.but im prolly wrong since nobody knows for sure.

I highly doubt anyone will speak up for fear of being persecuted for their statements prior DarkFall's release. Last thing I expect to see here anytime soon is a "Official DarkFall IGN thread" with more than 15-20 players. I'd really be surprised if there were.

Darkfall = Good open pvp sandbox pvp mmorpg..

For what it promised to be it delivers.. (except for the part where they said grouping wasnt necessary). If your not in a group and try to hunt something stronger than goblins theres a very high chance you will be pked.. If your in a group with your clan then its pretty safe.

Quick question.

Is it possible to be outskilled by a player 1 on 5(hypothetical clan amount)?

1 person will never beat 5.. 1 person can beat 2 people if his skills/equip is better and he knows how to play good.. 1 vs 3 might be possible also.. if the 1 person has like full plate and the 3 are wearing cloth...

Equipment matters on the game.. but equipment is also easy to get and replace if you lose.

ok,just thought it would be ****ing epic to have an entire group slain by one person.
