i've chosen Blade And Soul , because it just looks more promising to me for now.
But i believe Aion will have way more players than Blade And Soul
I was really looking forward to playing Aion, but after seeing a B&S gameplay vid, I'd go with B&S.
Pros (IMO):
-better combat system
-fast paced fighting
-Skills look cool (Hoping it isnt skill dependant like Cabal)
Cons:
-characters look kiddy...
-graphics aren't the best
As for Grinding...Could be anywhere from Guild Wars grinding to L2 (I'm hoping its WoW grinding...)
Reputation: 228You guys have not even seen an actual interface of BS, i mean B&S, yet already hyping up via a few trailers where all games look stunning in any trailers =/
and judging from the design, i dont think there will be tons of cool equip. i dont think ppl can scale walls wearing some platemail or dragonbone armor.
Depends on what you call cool. I personally prefer light cloth to heavy metal.
And I remember when Aion Trailers were being released I thought it looked alright nothing I'd update my PC for, though. B&S actually looks fun to me. IDC if the gameplay fails I can't judge either games by gameplay right now since I have yet to play them.

That's the #1 thing i hate about a lot of gamers. They only join games cuz of "cool" looking armor. Reminds me of WoW and PvP whores....
IMO, Aion armor looks like upgraded Power Ranger armor
I agree on the WoW portion, Blizzard designers really need to step up their drawing skills and the game designers need to step up their programming skills.
And Cinderboy, It was my opinion. Take it or leave it, that's just the way I feel. I admit, I do like cool looking armor, but that shouldn't make it the only reason for you to play a certain game. It's just like my friend who played this one game for a week straight just to get the end-game armor, then started *****ing to me about letting him play such a bad game >_>
Interested in the bolded parts, the game hasn't even been released yet o.o
How can you know?
I could possibly see the skill based thing(as in skills as a player vs the player character's skills) but with nothing to base it on but videos that are almost always misleading, isn't this setting expectations a bit high?
But the grinding part could be anywhere from guild wars' "lack of grind" to L2*'s "damn it when will it end?!" grind.
Not to condemn your points but all of this speculation. Actually, the article is at fault for trying to compare an a pizza that's been already made and a pizza that is still in the oven...I'm hungry >_>
*Replace L2 with your grinder of choice.
Depending on your definition of "Features", I like the layout of the landscape, character models (I do admit it lacks armor), skill animations (I'll admit that you need skills to make the game look cooler, I'm just hoping its not skill dependant, like exp for Cabal). I think its the Promo vid that got to me... I'm a sucker for games that have a good SGI trailer.
List of my expectations:
2Moons - Crazy nice SGI, game epic failed imo
S4 League- Very nice SGI, game was good but got repetitive
All Aeria Games - nice SGI trailers, all games Failed tho
I think you get my point![]()
Reputation: 228L2 was never grindy for the koreans, its just that they are used to it. not sure if ncsoft actually bothered to tweak the EXP to suit NA gamers. looks like they are doing alot of localization for the english version, just got to wait.
aint that more of design and style ?never knew there was more than one meaning for features of a particular MMORPG... oh well =/
Iono, design and style always fell under features in my book....*shrug* who knows? Either way, we'll just have to wait and see![]()
a brilliant comparison, especially considering one of the two games has not yet reached a playable phase of any sorts ...
They should kill the original author of that article on *******
