I think I'm going to actually use extra electricity during that hour.

Reputation: 1151Cool good find, thanks for sharing.
I try to make the world a little greener. I don't litter and shit, but I prolly unbalance it all with all the VOC and CFC's in my spraypaint D:
Reputation: 34I participated, i think its a great cause.
and its not just the hippies that do it, maybe they have the wrong message going out, but it really does help a ton.
i think we should do this every month.
I didn't participate b/c I didn't know when it was, but still thought it was cool :o
Gonna try to participate next year tho. Every little bit helps when it comes to helping our children I suppose ;]
Reputation: 206Mm. Am I the only one slightly curious as to what a nearly destroyed earth would look like? War ravaged, brown, withered forests, dried up oceans, and crackling all over as the volcanic center grows ever closer to exploding.
Not saying I WANT it that way. Just curious. Really, really..curious.
Elegance..
Fall out 3.
Oh, just for today I'm going to switch off my lights. Just for an hour, today.
asfsagasadg. Saving the Earth don't happen overnight.
Reputation: 344I guess I'll join in the earth saving. I'll unplug my dvd player so the little power light goes off. I helped! Earth is saved!

Reputation: 34Yes, I am. I like the picture of people having a peace of mind without having to use up so much resources. I'm not saying it SHOULD happen 100% - since humans do depend on computers and such now - though it would be nice like I said.
We don't HAVE to "fall apart", if that's how you see it. It just seems that way, in wording. Pilgrims...?
It's hypothetically impossible at the moment to just give up all sorts of technology, anyway. Processes such as this take a long time. Not saying we shouldn't use water at all - same with food resources. We humans tend to take things for granted, is another point.
I do understand your position. Calling something dumb without a form of walking in someone else's shoes sounds like a case to me. Entertaining, is what it is.![]()

yeah true. but its like they always talk about how landfills are damaging the world or whatever but its not household waste thats responsible.
i think that companies should be fined by the government for using excess packaging. like when you get food that has twenty layers of plastic.... do they really need that?
its like the manufacturers are allowed to put as much crap into the boxes, loads of foam or plastic or that annoying rock hard plastic dome stuff thats IMPOSSIBLE to open and when you DO get it open the edges are razor bl*ody sharp. and yet its the person who buys it who gets the blame for littering or not recycling!!!!! the audacity!!!!
maybe things will change in the future
Heh thats how I felt with my earbuds I bought a few months back. Pain in the *** to open up D:
A lot of it is to protect the product from being shoplifted with ease but seriously ;[ The 40 page instructional packets that could be summed up in 3 words (Google it noob) are also a killer waste :P
