    What is EverRun Online?
EverRun Online is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG). In EverRun Online, thousands of players adventure together in an enormous, persistent game world, forming friendships, slaying monsters, and engaging in epic quests that can span days or weeks.

    What is an MMORPG?
MMORPG stands for "massively multiplayer online role-playing game." In an MMORPG, thousands of players exist in the same game world at the same time. This creates an incredibly rich and active environment in which interesting things are constantly taking place. MMORPGs provide thousands of hours of game play, with a nearly infinite variety of goals to achieve across a vast world covering miles of land and sea. For EverRun Online, we also add new content on a regular basis, thus ensuring that there will always be new adventures, new locations, new creatures, and new items to discover.

How does EverRun Online differ from other MMORPGs?
EverRun Online differs from other MMORPGs in many ways. Players complete quests and experience the world at their own pace, whether it be a few hours here and there or entire weeks at a time. Additionally, our quest system provides an enormous variety of captivating quests with story elements, dynamic events, and flexible reward systems. EverRun Online also features a faster style of play, with less downtime and an emphasis on combat and tactics against multiple opponents.

Is there a monthly fee to play the game?
No. There is no monthly fee to play the game, its a free to play. But to get specail items in the game, a user will have to purchase ER Cash to buy them .

Are there multiple methods of payment for ER Cash?
Yes, customers can pay for there ER Cashusing credit cards, PayPal, checks, and money orders. Other payment types may be added in the future.

Is there a version of EverRun Online for the Mac?
    Not yet, but there will.

Is the game easy to learn how to play?
Yes. We strive to make this game easy to learn how to play, yet difficult to master.

Is NewVision aware of some of the game play problems that have been prevalent in other MMORPGs?
Yes. NewVision employees are gamers first and foremost, and we have played more than our fair share of existing massively multiplayer games. We tend to agree with MMORPG gamers on the strengths and weaknesses of the genre to date. We have striven to advance the genre with EverRun Online by building on the positives already established in the genre and eliminating as many of the negatives as possible. We think we've done a successful job, but we hope you will try the game to see for yourself.

How do you prevent camping and kill stealing?
There are several things that have been implemented to limit this problem. First, there is "tapping." If you damage a monster first, you have thereby "tapped" it and thus only you and your party will gain experience and loot from it, even if another player attacks and kills it. We also limit camping and kill-stealing issues by "instancing" certain areas of the game. No other players, unless they are part of your group, can enter your instance.

How do you prevent camping and kill stealing in non-instanced areas?
Competition over rare item drops and quest items is the primary cause of camping and kill stealing. In EverRun Online, many rare item drops are not exclusive to any one creature. Several creatures will have a chance of dropping the same item. If the required item is a quest item, the player can join a group of other players on the same quest. Every player on the quest will receive a copy of the quest item from the monster or location where it was found.

Are there other things to do besides leveling?
There is a huge variety of things to do to keep players from feeling like they just have to grind through one creature battle after another. Characters can make items, fight in vast battles against other players, and explore distant lands. Even when players do fight monsters, it will often be as part of a quest, or in search of special ingredients for their crafts.

Is there a party system for group adventuring?
    Yes.

How large is the party size for players?
The maximum number for a party is ten players, and the game is generally balanced for groups of ten. Smaller groups can still be quite successful, and regardless of the group's size, everyone in the group can make important contributions. You can also create larger groups of players, which are called raid groups.

Are there ways to gain experience in the game besides fighting?
Yes, there are ways to gain experience other than by fighting. You can gain substantial experience from doing quests. Exploring is another example of how you can gain experience; a character can receive experience by simply journeying to areas where your character has yet to explore.

    How does group experience work?
All players in a group share experience for a kill. However, to offset the lesser experience that comes from grouping, all players in the group also get a group xp bonus depending on the number of players in the group. You gain more experience for kills if you group with players closer to your level, while you gain less if you group with players more than a few levels higher than you.

He needs to fix the arms.

Looks like he slapped two balls to each side.

The hands also need work and so does the interface.

    1. Looks like you ripped off the MS heads.

    2. Not even Alpha and you already put in a cash shop button? No thanks.

A lot of the tiles and particularly the heads seem to just be edited/photoshopped Maplestory graphics..

and Deku's from Zelda, which is cool beans.

2D it's best just to hire a Pixel Artist rather than use PS's fugly emboss/shadow on MS graphics, especially if you plan to have some form of cash flow.

But maple story had an undeniable child like air to it,so it blends.

characters look like grown men, running around in an enchanted forest that resembles the shattered inner imagination of a 5 year old.

Face it, this game blows. Not mentioning you misspelled "you're" with "your" and "link" with "like".

I so want to see the quests' description. They probably suck.

    Oh and...

Compare the second black logo with ER's.

;o Ahh, the cash shop button. Sometimes it's a double-edged sword to yeh, nooberts complain constantly about the cash shop but at the same time you still need revenue. It's a dilemma! I remember posting in a thread about this, if you guys aren't ripping anything from MS then good luck to you. ;/

Like, he ran out of time, or something personal happened, or had he had to work/school and it caused him to delay the game.

Professional games get delayed let alone these types of games.

Anyway, nice productive post you gave. Congrats, you act like half the population at onrpg. Like your e-ego is the size of Texas.

I bet you typed all that with your chest popped out and your muscles all tight and flexed like you were trying to prove something.

Plus, all this is coming from a dude who plays LMS. Your opinions = last nights #2

    Same goes for you MrBlunt.

Yeah, get your post count up cause we all know thats what the intention was for.

Now, lemme hear whatcha gotta say. I bet its reallllly cute. :3
I used to be in the works for making a free MMO as a sprite designer (And let me tell you, they looked much better than these and took me hours apon hours of work).

I actually managed to find a few prototypes! :0

These were earlier versions, still pretty buggy motion/appearance that was improved on a lot and they were almost twice as big.

Point being, I poured my little heart and soul into them for no money ;~;.

Our programmers started from SCRATCH, built their own engine from their own ideas.

Our graphics were done from SCRATCH, no modified tiles or sprites what-so-ever. I started from a white screen when making sprites.

If you look here, nearly EVERYTHING is directly from maple story and whatever isn't resembles it but in a much shittier fashion. And they're expecting to profit off of it.

POINT BEING, our game, which required FAR more effort to develop had plans to be a free game, while this lazy graphic stealing piece of shit here.. well, yeaah. Any game that can't offer up all it's own code and graphics should NOT make a profit.

    Well guys.

I decided to dig around a bit and I'm afraid I have some evidence that will not please the folks who believed this game to be honest.

The game has clearly ripped a few things that should be visible without proof, such as the mutated MS sprites (they just made them taller and pretty much crapped all over them)

The grass appears to be from Ghost Online (scrunched in photoshop and embossed or something, ugly) but the bottom rocks seem to be from Maplestory, these aren't the massive things that popped out at me, however.

    This would be:

The trees. Their clearly the tree their using in the screenshots, if you want a closer look google ghost online, there's a couple variations but its there.

They've just chopped up graphics from different sidescrollers and butchered them in photoshop...
