(CNN) -- The Iowa Supreme Court unanimously rejected a state law Friday that banned same-sex marriage, and opponents wasted little time in pushing for a state constitutional amendment that could send the issue to voters.

Let me change it up a bit....Iowa lifted the ban on same sex marriages so now they can get married in Iowa how long do you think this will last and your feelings on it

I still don't see why same sex marriage is such a big deal. If it's a christian issue then what ever happened to seperation of church and state?

Keep in mind that this is Iowa we're taking about. Not exactly known for the cosmopolitan or enlightened nature of its inhabitants.

If that is the case, then I think the interest people will show towards this thread will last quite long, yes. However, if the question were whether or not their interest would remain on the original poster's initial topic of discussion, I would have to seriously doubt that.
