Default How would I go about finding a long lost relative?

I usually don't ask for this kind of help or make these kind of posts. This serves great importance to me and my father if we could find information about his grandfather who died in the second world war. I tried to find things on google, however it only shows me results for Canada, not Europe. When I search for that, It gives me pointless results. Anyone mind helping?

You don't find long lost relatives. Hence why they're long lost.

But I think there's a site or two that specializes in this sort of thing. But I really can't help you that much. History is hard to uncover.

Find out what Regiment he was in, pretty easy to go from there, though why you'd want to find a zombie is beyond me

It's just important to my father. There are records of the soldiers that died and their actions. Apparently, one of his friends found the same.
