Great song. If you want to be really melancholy, play it on an acoustic guitar and sing along.

EDIT: Aw, flaming anus. Someone already posted it.

Haha bbh, I was actually just reading this thread: http://www.onrpg.com/boards/115746-2/. I am picking up a guitar and was reading that thread and you mentioned about how Mad World was a good beginner song to learn. Also, it's pretty melancholy, so I basically stole that post from you.

Hahahahah! That's a funny coincidence. Well, I'm glad my post was helpful to someone. Now that you've mentioned it, if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask me. I'm still learning, and I'd be happy to help anyone learn, as well.

If you want more easy songs for the acoustic guitar, Marty Schwartz has many videos on YouTube teaching them. His channel is called "guitarjamzdotcom," and I recommend you check it out.

To remain on topic, I'd like to add another song by Gorillaz, besides the one Paladinn posted.

It's one of their most popular songs, but I wouldn't say all of it is melancholy, just the windmill part.
