there is no game where you grind only in one zone (instance or outdoor).

yeah games like wow , RoM and so on have boss fights in instances where you can get unique items (sometimes) but the "normal" asia grind game is more like -- items everywhere and a very low drop rate ^^

Well ALOT of shadowlands content is outdoors until you get to like Pen, Inf, etc.
There are dungeons in RK like subway, totw, but when u get to t4 theres cyborgs which is outdoors.
Nobody I know levels from missions on RK terminals they just use them to farm money and tokens.
Well this is all when i played.
AI is just bonus levels. LE is for endgame.
I don't mean run around randomly shooting mobs, but there are certain spots for certain levels that yield great experience outdoors.

Depends on the type of game.
Non-instanced indoors (ie some maps in RO/SoTNW etc) = yay (easy to navigate, easy to mob)
Instanced indoors = Yay for the first dozen times, after that meh.
Outdoors = always yay.

I don't care as long as the battle system is good and I do not have to deal with PKer's. Instance/free roam is pretty much the same thing, just with instance systems you only have to deal with your party members. Who are for the most part, aiding you. No kill stealing, no one showing off by owning everything site so you can't level, etc. Either is fine to me though.

It doesn't really matter that much, very few games bother making the interior environment any different from the outside.
Unless you actually meant instanced areas vs open areas. (But the way you said it implies that all interior areas are instanced, which isn't true in the slightest)
