Well thanks for that helpful post.. still haven't gotten question answered xD. I've never signed up for a closed beta so Ihave no idea.
If you have vista, click the vista start button and the search type in dxdiag and then run it.
Then u can save all your system info which is saved into a txt file which you can copy and paste.
Reputation: 125First time for everything I guess.
If your on Vista just click the Window button and type "dxdiag" in the search bar.
If its an older Windows operation system then it should be something called run, usually the second from the bottom option.
DxDiag is basically an info board that give information about your CPU, like RAM, Video Card etc. Usually they ask so they can see f your computer is weak or strong enough to run it so they can choose to send you an invite or not.
You should be going to http://www.onrpg.com/boards/tech-corner/ for these types of questions. since you're talking about an actual computer command. The fact that you need it to apply for a beta test is irrelavent when it comes to wether this should be in Free MMORPG or Tech Cornor.
nvm sorry. Also, Arri, that is why I apologized. I didn't know where this went. By the way, found out on my own, buy thanks for caring! (Useless, bvldog, reflaw). Maybe one day I can repay ya.(If I ever become internet trillionare xD)
DxDiag ("DirectX Diagnostics") is a utility designed to display the specifications of the user's hardware, as well as to test DirectX software, including sound and video. DxDiag was first released on August 7, 1998 as part of DirectX 6.0 and the successor to DXInfo. To open this program type dxdiag in the Windows Vista start menu search bar or the Run command (Start->Run...) in any other version of Microsoft Windows (see image).
DxDiag is a diagnostics tool used to test DirectX functionality and troubleshoot video- or sound-related hardware problems. DirectX Diagnostic can save text files with the scan results. These files are often posted in tech forums or attached to support emails in order to give support personnel a better idea of the PC the requester is using in case the error is due to a hardware failure or incompatibility.(See Diagnostics section below)
DxDiag by default located in %SystemRoot%\System32.[1] In Windows Vista, DxDiag only shows information; it is no longer possible to test the hardware and the various DirectX components. [2]
