    Default Twelve Sky 2 Question

Hey im playing Twelve Sky 2 right now of course, but i keep getting this freeze every couple of seconds, i dont know if its my computer or the game

    Heres my System Spec:

Operating System: Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 2
    System Manufacturer: Dell Inc
    System Model: Dimension E521
    Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 3600+, MMX, 3DNow (2 CPUs), ~1.9GHz
    Memory: 2046MB RAM
Card name: NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT
    Chip type: GeForce 8800 GT
    DAC type: Integrated RAMDAC
    Display Memory: 512.0 MB
    Current Mode: 1024 x 768 (32 bit) (60Hz)

Id like to also point out that i get this annoying freeze even when i play other games like Company of Heroes or Warhammer Online, even after i turn off my Anti Virus, and ive uninstalled/reinstalled Drivers over and over again...

Try to get your log file and post it to them.

Seems like alot of others might have this problem.

Hmm not sure then..hopefully someone more knowledgable will get on and help yea. To me i see no probs with your computer as my desktop back home has lower components then yours and runs WAR and Company of heroes fine, on and off line.

ya i get really horrible lag, on any game, I haven't downloaded any new drivers im still with the ones that were given with the disk, maybe someone has certain drivers i could download, id like to also note that, could my temperature of my Video Card have something to do with it? currently its at 62c with fan speed set at 64%

Sorry maybe i could be more clear, the freezes aren't completley freezing the game, it freezes for maybe no more than 1 -2 sec, and continues perfectly fine, then continues to do that

We have a tech section for that.
You could easily name this thread freeze up problem, as it is not 12sky related at all, if you get it in all games.
    Also your signature is huge.

    Done *****ing for now.

    First step:
    Get newer drivers.
    http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_182.50_whql.html
    (Win XP 32bit)

    Also:
    Do you use external drives?
Do you have the chip set drivers installed and updated?
Do you have the audio drivers installed and updated?

This link should send you to the driver download page of dell, get the newest drivers there.

    @Temps:
    62°C is normal.

    However:
62°C in XP does have nothing to do with the temperature in games.
    A) The chip automatically nearly halves clocks for 2D only.
Different parts of the chip are at work in 3D mode.

    http://www.cpuid.com/download/HWMonitor_113.zip
HWMonitor is a good tool to check your temperature.
The Maximum is the only value that is interesting; Game for a bit and check how far it goes up, under 75°C is fine.

Have you upgraded the GFX card yourself?

If I am right the Dimension E251 does not come with it.

As I read out of the manuals, Dell uses a standard (lucky you) 300 W PSU for this box.
It would be hard to test, if that is an issue, but 300 W for this system paired with a 8800 GT is definitely very low.

no my dad installed it, screwed it in, but we didn't upgrade the power supply ourselves. See, we got the graphics card, then we installed it, and it made this funny weird high pitched sound, we turned it off, sent it in to these tech peeps, they upgraded our powersupply to 500w, then my dad upgraded my drive himself ya.

O so your saying 250g is too much for my comp?

So whats the solution? new computer?
