    Default Vegetarian Vs Diet with meat

    I am considering turning vegetarian.

    i do not really eat most meats, so i think i could handle it. i would miss some meat alot, but the health benefits seem so worth it.

    Anybody have any tips or experience with being a vegetarian? i would still eat fish and eggs and milk products, so im not turning into a vegan here.

    What do you guys think about veggie lovers and meatatarians?

    Gimme some guidance.

    My girlfriend is a vegetarian,she's doing good.But,not only are you missing out on your favorite meats,you're missing out on the proteins and vitamins that veggies can't give you whereas meats can.

    Don't completely quote me on that,it's just something I heard.

    I think veggie lovers should eat more meat. I think meatatarians are cool.

    I'd love to be a vegetarian.

    I just can't give up chicken wings and things like that.

    Meat is just ****ing awesome, to make it short. I've nothing against vegetarians though. But i find vegans funny.

    Tofu gives off protein too surprisingly so, the protein isn't a problem. Also meat gives off vitamins now?

    Being vegetarian doesn't make you automatically healthy.
    You can eat all the plants you want but you can still be super unhealthy.. just depends on how good you actually eat, like making sure you get your nutrients and all that.
    People say being a vegetarian is unhealthy cause meat has nutrients, but healthy vegetarians are the ones who know how to get those without meat--unhealthy vegetarians are the ones who don't know how to eat right.

    Vegeterians are elitist douchebags and their diets are ****ing disgusting-- but that's just me. Do what's best for you. If that means not eating delicious meat, then so be it. Keep in mind, though, that humans evolved into what they are today largely because of meat.

    You can eat a balanced diet with veggies easily.

    fish and eggs , and tofu products can make up easily for the health benefits of meat.
    thats why it is called meat andalternatives.

    Probably a bad place to ask, cause your all meat loving, beef jerky eating, pure blood gaming men.

    I dunno if I could live without beef. Not for flavor, but just because I get so lethargic if I don't eat meat every once and a while. Pork on the other hand I could do without.. Not a fan of it.

    Uhh just eat chicken and turkey. :3 White meat is healthy and just as good as red meats.

    the berrics is a skatepark designed by eric koston, with the msot awards in the world. never been there, but want to go.

    i live near toronto, in ontario.

    and xeno you really helped me alot, i think im gunna follow your ideas. i eat qutie a bit of junk food, but i am active and eat very healthy along with it. And its healthy junk food yknow? (pretzels, popcorn)

    and im not sure how to make this into a poll, if someone wanted to it would be great.

    I dont like KFC, and can easily live without most fast food, although subway would be a killer.

    i love sandwich meat, which is gunna be hard to replace. :P

    just dont run or workout to hard, really really hard to get enough protein for that kind of exercise without actual meat. You will live if you dont do much exercise but intense work outs and running will have a drag on you most likely. or youll be eating peanuts out the ***. on average meat has quite a bit more protein than fish, and all that.

    how?, you do know there are minerals that you just can't get from eating only vegetables right?

    and I don't have a problem with veggies, it's their own life, now when that turns into veggie maniacs PETA lovers trying to shove their stupid way of life down my throat, then I have a problem

    there's your problem, do NOT blame the meat, blame your crappy lifestile of eating crap food

    I keep a balanced diet, almost entirely eliminated stuff like ketchup, mayonaise, mustard and all that crap, NEVER eat at mcdonalds or any other equal fast food crap, eat a good salad, good meat, chicken, fish, etc etc and never ever had any health problem at all

    People who still feel that you have to eat meat to get everything you need make me laugh.

    That's why supplements exist.

    Anything that's in meat, you can still get without eating it. I know plenty of vegetarians who are well built, more so than most meat eaters I know. Technically, a vegetarian diet is the best kind of diet, health wise.

    personally I prefer my calories, protein and fats grilled with onions and potatoes

    anyways, its not like it matters, there are so many varying opinions on what it means to be "vegetarian" it makes me sick.

    when did vegetarian become a political movement rather than a particular lifestyle choice like smoking or cr*pping into plastic carrier-bags?


    whatever you do dude just dont become elitist. i dont know squat but i imagine not eating meat and getting your meat vitamins elsewhere is probably beneficial to your health.
