    My grandparents love me and asked me what I want for my birthday, I said a computer, ofc. They told me to send them a picture, or link to the computer I want-

    500, will get a pretty bad computer. If your twin is able to combine the money into one super computer then you have a good deal going.

    A decent gaming comp will run at least 700.

    You can get a decent gaming comp for 500$ if you can keep your monitor, dvd/cd drives and the computercase. You'd need to built it together by yourself though.

    500$ will get you a good motherboard, atleast 4Gbs of gaming-ram, a strong dualcore cpu and a good gfx card.

    That pretty much sums it up. Those companies either charge alot for building the comp together or they count on the stupidy of their customers.
