Alas, the horrible has finally happened.

As of May 6th, 2009, 3DRealms has laid off its employees and filed for bankruptcy, when only just yesterday they were throwing out news of a possible December release date.

Amidst all the chaos, former employees have begun posting much of the content they had finished online to show fans how much progress they had really made. Many pieces of concept, in-game footage, and other "what-nots" have since made it online, much of which is not intended for younger eyes. (hence why I will not post links to the screencaps.)

Many believe this to be simply viral marketing, but who knows. You can still get to the 3DRealms forums to learn what's left of of the name that once flourished greatly through the day, to only die a slow, agonizing death.

Edit: After looking for more of the creen caps, it appears that most of the employee websites that were hosting them have suddenly stopped revealing info, releasing such sections with "There is no DNF on the Website" or completely locking the website from unauthorized viewers.

It looks like this may all be too true.
