MUDs are very fun if you can get into it, but I never have the patience to read a lot.

...but I don't really get the difference between browser and MUD

I haven't touched a browser based game in years, so my reply may be incorrect. MUDs are MMORPGs, like World of Warcraft. However, you don't have graphics - you have text, but everything is live and real time and you can interact with other players. In a browser based game, you don't have the real time gameplay element (I think browser based games are catching up though).

I don't really where's the fun in only texts. I don't get what can be realtime with MUD, it's only text !
I only play one browser game (the one in my signature) and the races are realtime ! And I suppose other browser-based have realtime features !
