Default Distant Worlds: Music from Final Fantasy

w00t! I just came back from this concert. It was just so amazing. Nobuo Uematsu was there too, donning a Black Mages bandana and Arnie Roth was conducting the orchestra.

There was so much nostalgia during the performance, I remember going to my friend's place just to play Final Fantasy 8 on his fat Playstation. Brings back so many memories. There was free Coke too, after the concert.

Here's the set list that was played tonight:

    FFVIII: Liberi Fatali
    FFX: To Zanarkand
    FFVIII: Don't Be Afraid
    FFVII: Aerith's Theme
    FFI - III : Medley 2002
    FFV: Dear Friends
    FFIX: Vamo' alla Flamenco
    FFXI: Ronfaure
    FF series: Main Theme

    FFVII: Opening - Bombing Mission
    FFVIII: Fisherman's Horizon
FFXI: Memoro de la Stono - Distant Worlds
    FFIV: Theme of Love
    FF: Swing de Chocobo
    FFVIII: Love Grows
    FFVI: Opera "Maria and Draco"

    Encore:
    FFVI - Terra's Theme
    FFVII - One-Winged Angel

Arnie Roth lied to us about not playing One-Winged Angel as well, just like the other concerts haha.

It's coming to the US in June and July, do go see this awesome concert, it's totally worth it.

I went to one for a different music genre some time ago and I loved it. That must have been great I was thinking about going to it when they came to Seattle but I didn't. Now I regret it =(.

I remember they had something like this a while ago that I wanted to go see, with FF music.

I shall definitely keep an eye out for this.

I'd only go for FFX: To Zanarkand.

Perhaps a link to a site with announcements or so? I'd like to see if they play in Europe and in my area if they go to Europe. =/

    Edit: http://www.ffdistantworlds.com/

    So far nothing on the site about Europe. ;_;

I should update this but all my effort went into writing this lousy excuse.

Fishermans Horizon is some good stuff. I am sad to not see Melodies of Life, or my favorite theme from FFIX, Village of Dali. But of course the ever popular one-winged angel made it... whatever.

Did they have someone sing the Opera "Maria and Draco"?

Well, he did clearly capitalize the C, so apparently it was of the cola variety, much to your dismay.

    Yes, it was so epic.

It was in English, though. The local performers had a slight accent when performing it, hahaha.

I don't know about you, but my Cocaine deserves a capital C.
