Last Remnant what's so bad?

I have to ask why the game got such horrible reviews.
I read that the game lagged horribly, load times were horrendous and it didn't do very well.
However I could not disagree more, I have only gotten 2 noticeable lag fights and am about 12-14 hours in. The load times are almost nothing 4 seconds... which is pretty normal for games and I love that the story line actually involves more then 1 lord and that the one you have helping you isn't the most important leader in the world. As well the ability to customize weapons, fight with unique characters and do huge amounts of side quests that bring you back to old areas is a great way to make areas not 1 time events.
Just had to give my 2 cents.
Edit: I am using the 360 version, downloaded it on my harddrive which people still say causes them problems.

first of all, is this about the 360 version?

ive seen footage of laggy gameplay and a friend of mine can confirm that (he also has the pc version, he allways plays that one) so it might have been updated and resolved by now

i havent played it myself, but its on my list, right now im doing Lost Oddysey, once thats done, i'l borrow TLR from him.

Yes the 360 version, edited my original post. I think Lost Odyssey is one of the better NA RPG's especially for its story line. I love it and hope they do a sequel.

its a great game, except that it has a mage fetish, there are like 3 melee classes, 1 ranged and the others are just casters, not that i hate the fact that i can nuke an entire boss in a few turns tho

i just got to the beginning of disk 3, i was pumped to fight gongora, but it was a battle you just cant win (< if this is spoiling please do place tags on them, i don't know how :/)

this game's story line is just fantastic, so well done, by just reading the dreams, you can get al emotional about them

i read that first dream, and was like ... damn thats sad....
(one of the reasons i allways skip the dreams)

right now, ive entered the ice area, don't really know what to expect, but i faced a behemot once, even though my chars where lvl 30 i just wouldnt take the chance because it had +4000 HP, srsly, id rather run then to take one of his attacks.
