OK, this may seem a bizarre question to ask on a forum such as this, but what persuaded you to develop an MMORPG?
After all, the vast majority of online free independently developed games tend to be MMORPGs and as a result there is a lot of competition out there (as well as great deal of mediocrity). This makes it hard to stand out from the crowd and avoid the trap of developing yet another slightly tweaked clone of some game you've been playing.
I think it would be interesting and revealing to hear what drives various developers to create their own MMORPG.
