    Cool Dragon Nest Online

Has anyone got any inside information on this game? Or any info at all?
Will an English version see the light of day? I'm excited with all these action based mmorpgs surfacing.
    I think it's the future of MMO's.

He has a point. It definitely looks like it brings something new to MMORPGS. Prove me wrong by showing more intense/fast paced gameplay than that.

It's nothing new. A fast pace doesn't mean it'll suffer from grindphobia or the generic class flu. Don't base your new god over eye candy.

No, this is not eye candy hype from my side, its really gameplay wise. It looks alot more direct and fast than most of the stuff we get to see from the games being released at the moment. They are all like.. klick.. run... press 1-9 for skill. Some lag, skill comes in, autoattack, bla.
But from what I can see in the videos, you dont select single targets. It has a more egoshooter-wasd style than most of the games. Ive only seen this In Risk Your Life so far I think.. Swing weapon by mouse click, and everything in range is hit, etc, etc. Looks very fun, and not very boring like most stuff today.

Anyways. Dragon Nest is unique in it's gameplay and interface.
It may not be the the future of MMO's, but it certainly brings something new.

Had the stress bar before nexon took over

    2) not really, the areas where you fight are divided into different dungeons of varying difficulties, its not like WoW where everything is continuous.

    3) Stress bar lasts for how ever many times you run dungeons. I don't know the exact number of dungeons you are able to run before your stress bar runs out, so i can't give much info here.
    ill pass

The classes will be at least gender-locked, if not specific people (i.e. Jeff the Warrior).

    Prove me wrong.

it is gender-locked. one thing i didn't like about the game was the lack of customization in character creation menu...you can only choose from a small variety of hair, clothing color, hair color...etc.

i also dont like how some of the supposedly adult characters look too young for their age...

though my favorite character was the Cleric~ setup his clothing right and he looks like Virgil from DMC~ lol

prevent people from excessively playing the game~
they have this implemented in the soon-to-be-coming Dungeon and Fighter Online (known as Dungeon Fighter Online in english...) and Elsword Online. Its main purpose is to make sure people don't kill themselves playing the game too much.

and omg Elegance!! haven't seen you in a while.

    It's no typo, it's a bomb

New, no. While certainly fast paced this game is pretty much Rakion + FlyFF. With the lack of character customation, crappy AI and Nexon Cash Shop; you'll see this game fall to its knees very soon. Seriously, the AI of monsters in this game is awful. They might aswell just be standing there.

None of us have played that. You could easily call it a higher quality version of Rakion at this point... especially considering the low level of customization seen in the videos, as well as the combat.
Pretty much this. OnRPG, you're falling in love with a one trick pony again.

first off, the characters are gender-locked for a reason. Like every other tens of thousands of mmorpgs out there, this game has a background and storyline to it too. Each character has his/her own past, goal, personality, etc. I am sure Nexon's idea of gender-locking each class was for this purpose....nevertheless, even with gender-lock, the game is fun overall.

and as I have mentioned before, Dragon Nest combat is pretty much like Rakion with Lunia Online style dungeon system. Sure you can't juggle in Rakion, and you can't attack knocked down enemies, but thats just a bonus to this game.

in terms of facial appearance and feature, yes, pretty much all of the classes will look similar if not the same due to limited customization. But there are a wide variety of weapons and armor and each armor part gives a different look to your character~ Think of it as like Diablo 2
