Noble and true, you are the hero other heroes aspire to be. You are a natural leader, selfless and kind, who will put the lives of others above your own, and are steadfast in your pursuit of justice.

Ok thx for that arcdevil ill bear that in mind the only thing putting me off coh/v is europes community was low when i played the trial not long ago.

Reputation: 10Warhammer has improved greatly with the new expansion, though it still have some issues. But not as much as Arcdevil intends.
Go for the trial no? It's free, and give you a nice, even if limited, view of the game.
CoH/CoV doesnt have that much PvP, but the story driven quests are great.
Ok thx ill try both then its decision time![]()

Reputation: 49what new expansion? winds of change?
did it fix the crap T4? no
did it fix the awful RvR mechanics? no
did it fix the merry-go-round RvE? no
did it fix the stupid zergers heaven gameplay? no
did it fix the career/faction balance? no
did it fix the hemorrhage of players and ghost town servers? no
loksie,i dont honestly dont know how is CoX, so i wont recommend you that either. but WAR is terrible. if u feel like playing a good RvR game, test out DaoC. it isnt coincidence that since WAR was released DaoC has experienced a sudden rebirth...its because WAR bleeds players left and right to it

I just bought CoH, it's fun.
Reputation: 10I played CoH/CoV for a decent period of time, its a very unique game, my favorite part was the travel powers you get at level 14. The combat system is strange and got boring(for me) pretty quickly. The charachter customization is amazing, you will find yourself spending the first hour or two just making different charachters, you can literally look HOWEVER you want. Its definately worth a try and I've been considering going back to it recently.
Reputation: 8CoH is a very unique game (first mmo to allow custom content) and alot of fun if you're into the super hero scene
Warhammer online is VERY VERY PvP orientated game but RvR and Scens(battle grounds) are ALOT of fun, I would try the trial first though, the game is pretty nasty to run on a medium range rig in large scale RvR
Reputation: 10Personally, I'd suggest City of Heroes/Villains. Namely because, it's the game with the best character customization I think I've ever seen in my entire life, it has some awesome abilities, and it actually has a pretty good story for a MMO. (You know, if you follow the stories, at all.)
WAR, I don't really have much of an opinion on.
apparently WAR is all PVP. Though I barely saw any when I played (only up to 12, got too boring seeing noone around..Everyone is max, WoW disease)
CoH has PVP, but it isn't the focus, and it's suppose to be just for fun, but it's easily exploitable. (Fire Blaster + pocket empath that only heals/buffs the blaster, and runs the hell out when someone attacks them) Of course, the exploits are also easily beaten (said fire blaster? Chase off his empath and he's screwed)
Reputation: 10Lol okay COH gets boring after the first week or so honest to god. The gameplay is so linear its repulisive and pretty much the only fun part is travel skills(BTW flying is even that fun).
WAR does not have an unbalanced class system because the classes play seperate rules in RVR meaning just because a black orc has higher defense than an ironbreaker, the ironbreaker will outdamage any day even though their both tank classes. Not 2 mention the variety of classes their are and, though not as in-depth as COH, it definitely doesnt have horrid customization. The quests IMO are more in depth than WoW and though the PQ's are a bit repetetive, they give good gear for RVR making it worth while. In fact, some PQ's are fun TBH. The RVR is MASSIVE and makes the game unique and fun. Some keep sieges can be up to 4 warbands big.
WAR is a graphically intense game though but if you can run it, their absolutely stunning.
COH's outdated graphics and last gen gameplay doesn't offer anything short of a P2P game gone cash shop. WAR on the otherhand would give you a much better gaming experience hands down. Haters hate.
For WAR's graphic, I 'd say it's detailed, but not appealing.... Or maybe just my taste.
Reputation: 10Ya I'm a fan of WAR your right however I played both games extremely in-depth and thats my god honest answer.
Reputation: 60war sucks the hugest nuts.. i cant believe ive wasted 40 dollars on such game! sure i would log into it once in a blue moon just so i dont regret paying so much for the shitty excuse for a mmo but
ITS COMPLETELY EMPTY
ITS FULL OF CAREBARE WOW KIDDIES THAT QUESTS ALL DAY
RVR LAGGY AS SHIT with 4 wb vs 4wb
SCENARIOS gets boring after T2
Reputation: 72If your being serious about starting one of them i will say CoH/V Theres too many reasons why CoX is a great game so ill just say why its a better choice than WAR.
I recently finished playing WAR after playing for 2months. But heres how i see WAR o and before i start if you want good pvp dont play this game since you wont get any pvp after the scenarios in tier 1 (1-11)
WAR is all about rvr since rvr gear kicks the shit out of pve gear by a long shot. So everybody does RvR but heres the reason why theres no pvp. It is easier to grind influence points if you avoid any combat and just do the castle keeps. So whenever a castle is being defended trust me you wont be attacking it. Mainly because its broken system since the hero's will **** any WBs that try to attack it while theres people defending.
WAR quests are tedious and very boring after Tier 2 and since scenario's are hardly played in T2 and T3 you have to do them or PQ and PQs are not worth the time imo.
The graphics look great sure but when it comes down to fighting warbands even with a good setup i can bet you still lag.
Classes are outbalanced too i saw this in T3/T4 and for Dest its in all tiers. Order have shitloads of Warrior priests and Bright wizards and Dest just have a boatload of choppa's Dont be surprised if your playing a scenario against/with 5-8 other choppa's.
I could go on but i wont. Like said before the games not too dead from T1-3 but it sure as hell aint lively.
From a diff thread.
Reputation: 10No coordination? I'm done with this after that comment, your nothing short of ignorant. Peace.
Your just arguing about nothing anyway.. not helping the guy in any way.
I cant say ive personally played either of the games but i know a few people that play City of Heroes and absolutely love it, they think its well worth the money and i have to say i do like the look of it aswell and im thinking of starting up on it![]()
i think warhammer is based on pvp ... as main subject ... idk about coh/cov ... :|
Some Stories Are Just Way Better In My Head!
