    Default Any help?

Hey guys -- I'm in need of some help.

Now, its to do with my sound. I can listen to music off of itunes, and I have sound coming from video games, but I can't seem to find the problem when hearing sounds from my internet browser, both firefox and internet explorer.

I can't watch videos off of youtube (I can watch them, but can't hear them), nor myspace, or honestly anything from my internet browser.

    Solutions?

Has this always happened or did it start all of a sudden?

Have you tried using Opera or Google Chrome to see if they have the same problem?

Oh, I just installed a sound card, which I didn't have one before, and after installing the driver and all that jazz, the sound works fine, but not in internet browsers.

Btw, you can't just reformat. That's horrible advice!

Check if your volume control panel hasn't got anything muted.

I should update this but all my effort went into writing this lousy excuse.

if it's just things in the browser, could be a problem with flash.

    http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

    maybe try reinstalling that?

just go through everything related to your sound, things like volume, making sure the right things are ticked in the sound settings, reinstalling audio codecs, blablabla.
