This is a listing of the top titles being played in Afghanistan for PC within all genres. I will also list their Genre and Market Share % after the title.

    01. Derka Derka Mohammed Jihad (MMORPG) [16.8%]
    02. Sudden Goat Attack (MMOFPS) [11.63%]
    03. Israel: Holy War (Multiplayer RTS) [7.26%]
    04. IED Online(Multiplayer RTS) [6.52%]
    05. World of Warcraft (MMORPG) [5.91%]
    06. Land of 1000 Virgins (MMORPG) [4.87%]
    07. G Dubya's Punchout! (MMO Beat'em Up) [4.12%]
    08. Special Forces: Operation Martyrdom (MMOFPS) [3.96%]
    09. No Nukes Here (FPS) [3.76%]
    10. Burkha Blast (MMORPG) [3.59%]

I honestly don't understand these threads. I really could care less about what Koreans are playing. Their taste in games is horrid.

    01. Aion Online (MMORPG) [16.8%]
    02. Sudden Attack (MMOFPS) [11.63%]
    03. Starcraft: Brood War (Multiplayer RTS) [7.26%]
    04. Warcraft 3 (Multiplayer RTS) [6.52%]
    05. World of Warcraft (MMORPG) [5.91%]
    06. Lineage 2 (MMORPG) [4.87%]
    07. Dungeon & Fighter (MMO Beat'em Up) [4.12%]
    08. Special Force (MMOFPS) [3.96%]
    09. FIFA Online 2 (Multiplayer Soccer/Futbol) [3.76%]
    10. Lineage (MMORPG) [3.59%]

Well, this week on the KR front we've seen some good movement, but no new titles have been able to creep into the fight. Now the biggest shift was D&F going from 10 to 7 this week after being 10 for like 2 months with an increase of 1.18% Market Share. I've not heard of any real updates for the game that would explain this, so I am going to chalk it up to some KR schools releasing a little early for summer vacation (Tends to usually be in Mid-July, but can vary.) or people simply slacking off to play something to pass time between studies for mid-terms. Warcraft 3 and WoW did their little dance switching places, Lineage slipped a bit, and Aion (2.94% Share drop from last week) saw some of it's people move back to Sudden Attack for a bit.

Overall, we saw a 1.61% Market Share increase which should bounce up and down within the next month as Secondary School kids get out for the summer. With the World Cyber Games 2009 coming up in November in China we're gonna see SC, WC3, Sudden Attack (Practice for CS 1.6 honestly), FIFA, and D&F heavily played as teams prep for the tournaments. I'm still pretty excited at the prospect of the SC2 Beta and Battle.net 2.0 being rolled out within the next month as well since we could start seeing some flux in the environment.
Thanks, interresting read. Whats your source btw?

I actually enjoy reading it. I like to see rankings that are actually done by real results not just polls like that of other websites. For games that i will want to be playing in the near future its great to see them still doing well after a few months.

Gametrics is the measurement I use to see daily and weekly movement.

While I do think Aion is an ok game I am by no means a fanboy of the title. People expressed interest in a thread like this so I do it weekly to show how the current Korean market is. The main reason I chose Korea is because in my experiences they are more dedicated PC gamers than almost any other market in the world. They are also one of the largest producers (if not the largest) of PC MMO's in the industry. However, I suspect in the coming years China will seriously give them a run for their money. You can always skip the thread next time instead of trolling, but it makes no difference to me either way.

While SC and WC3 are very good games I completely agree that Dawn of War is a superior title to me, but only as a single player game. In multiplayer I find DOW lacking as it's almost always just a push game and has little variety in how you approach winning.

    Shitty gfx don't mean anything.
Hmmm, I'd see it slightly different, but not by much.

    Hitboxes:
    Sudden Attack = CS 1.6
    Sudden Attack > CSS

    Graphics:
    Sudden Attack > CS 1.6
    Sudden Attack < CSS

    Gameplay:
    Sudden Attack = CS 1.6
    Sudden Attack > CSS

Sudden Attack has already finished NA CBT and should go into OBT very soon. Rumor is that OBT hits within 2 weeks.
