I was kinda googling some stuff and I found a forum with the name.. ONRPG; Online Naruto Role Playing Game

Is this allowed? Doesn't OnRPG have copyrights?

It was done with intention most likely. Naruto Online RPG sounds better than Online Naruto RPG. Like mentioned, just to gain popularity.

people sue each other for stealing trademarked names all the time, vexicat, them taking our forum's name, if we have it trademarked, will probably end with them either having to change their name or being sued for alot.

They aren't making any profit off of it, if you read ANY post in their "forums" you will see that EVERYONE there is 8 years of age.

Well, it doesn't matter. They aren't allowed to ''steal'' Onrpg's name. They will probably be asked to change the name. If they don't, then they'll have to pay.

MageMoa if you read this post ^, then you should know its not really a legal issue, it they clearly didnt steal "OnRPG" for they stated what ONRPG on there site was.

Oh and your not a mod or anything, Game Journalist have no special power besides there own board, and custom titles, I'd say the real staff are the ones that Pay you.

The thing is, I have already messaged Roxane and from her reaction and the reaction of the mods on this thread you can clearly tell that they all take this serious.

I would like to sum up your 3 points by saying:

That may be, but he is always very precise, and just.

Anyway, we reviewed it and as indeed it's a free forum for a small community with no profit in mind, we can let them be. Certainly we have our names covered if anything should grow out from it. Right now we are not concerned with a site like this one.

In fact, by using that name we might get some nice visits from Naruto RPers.

Still, we are grateful that this was brought to our attention! You can always send me a private message if you find more such cases.
