Will DnF be really cash shop dependant?
I'm not sure if a thread has been made similar to this, search doesnt work for me lol.
Well, the question is will DnF be severely CS dependant at high levels? Knowing Nexon and what not, -cough maplestory-
In my opinion, I'm all for cash shop if all it does is make your character look cool. I just dont like Cash shops that kill the game play by giving extreme perks to another player.

I don't think it will be. Maplestory isn't that CS dependent. I personally think Nexon does a good job managing their CS. Not too sure about Mabinogi though, as they have rebirths in the CS.

You're going to want to spend at least a few bucks on storage upgrades, but other than that, there's not a whole lot you'd have to buy. Avatars can be bought from the auction house, and you won't need skill resets if you build your character properly.
Also, avatars are tradable to other characters, so if you buckle down and buy a complete set for one class, you could simply transfer that set over to another character you have of the same class. I do this all the time on my fighters once they hit level 30.

thats going to be a problem when the game first launches...you see, in the beginning the Auction House will have jacks--- in terms of good items, let alone avatars. Where will people get avatars in the first place? buy them off the cash shop~ Korean DnF have been out for a while now so the avatars being up for sale (albeit expensive) on auction is only natural.
and thats the other problem with the skill resets~ not everyone checks forums for how to build certain classes properly and whatnot...there bound to be lots of people that reroll because they messed up their characters...and then there will be those that are too lazy to level up a whole new character so they buy the skill reset pot...
as far as the english version goes, the base community is totally different in terms of what they are looking for, preferences, culture, etc. We will still have to see how the western community will react to the Stress Bar~ fyi, there is no point in arguing/protesting about it because Nexon won't change it.

and anyone that has been speaking positively about DnF WILL stay true to their words and stick by DnF~ I have yet to see anyone that flame that this game sucks after the 1st day of gameplay.

if you are referring to the OP's question, not really~ cause we know DnF is not CS dependent.
Sure the avatars and the skill reset items may make the game better and more...enjoyable, but avatars can be bought from the AH in due time (when the game has been out for a while and has settled in the western market), and skill resets can be gotten around with by asking around for advice or, if worst comes to worst, just re-roll. You can only play so much of one character due to the stress bar anyways.

yes so dam annoying. I remember getting to lvl 30 about 4 times on my warrior in maplestory. Each time not having enuf str to use weapons or no dex so i couldnt hit monsters or just no good skills. Ill defiently be researching coz ill just rage quit if i fawk it up.How is doing research stupid? To me it's smarter to research and do things right the first time, instead of remaking your character over and over and over until you get it right.

^ nah I see no reason for Nexon US to change the way game items work....its worked extremely well in Korea, and they will most likely try the same tactic for the english version.
o yea, I realized that the Priest skin will be the pre-updated version (with the long hair and cross-emblemed suit). Here is what the updated version will look like (if they ever release it for US...)

what do you gain from researching about a skill tree and knowing a class through and through? an hour (maybe less) NOT wasted in rerolling a character? I am amused that you don't understand the logic in this situation. O wait...what am I saying? Ofc you wouldn't....your the type that goes bats*** when you realize you need to level your character from 1 to 15 again because of one little mistake. I love people like you that take games wayy too seriously. :3
and like I said before, you won't have much of an excuse to re-roll a character in this game~ it gives you a free skill reset when you change your job, and when you change your job, the skills you can buy doesn't change at all, except the section of your job (where all the skills will be shown, if not available.)
