There are a bunch of other things that former P2P subscribers get to keep and there are some things they have to decided on ( like choosing which characters you already have to go in the limited character slots on that specific server).

This isn't a new DDO. It's the same game, just with a F2P model which they want to beta test. Along with some additional content they are adding of course.
As stated by Seiyuuki earlier, it just seems some of you aren't understanding what's going on here, or maybe not reading the story all the way or something? I don't know.
Let's make it clear for everyone though - this beta test is for Dungeons and Dragons Online. Not a new game. This beta test is to see how the new F2P model works for them. There is no DDO2 or anything like that. Just the same game, just F2P.

wonder how would do a 12/8 fighter/barbarian with dual wield (12str/18dex) and maxed all the weapon specializations & two weap fighting feats. Weapon finese with 2 rapiers 18-20 crit hit with improved crit hit feat would be 16-20, right? omg that would be amazing. At least on pen & paper, dunno about ddo

I got in been playin for a few days now to me it seems like a toned down version of AOC with the DnD aspect of rolls and what-not I find it worthy of being played through the free part other than that is up to you.

It really is a nice game to play, and the Dungeon Master feature is sexy.

The same formula works in DDO.
Its what I like about this game. More about skill and knowledge of how to build the character. From what I have been reading there are going to be more PvP improvements too.

None yet... in past forum posts and in the CB I was in, they said they wanted to get to get the game to lvl 20 before they add prestige classes.
So, hopefully in some new expansion, in the near future, it will be there.
