Default Uh oh. That can't be good.

It just took hours for my laptop to turn on when I press the button and actually boot up.
I think this poor thing is on it's way out...but, it's actually my parents' now.
They bought it and I got a gaming computer, but because of internet related reasons, I'm letting them use my gaming computer, while I use this one.
I hear this model goes cheap now, so at least I can buy them a new one if it IS broken, but still...

    ...
    Okay, I rambled.
Summary: Computer would not turn on.
I'd press the 'on' button, and some lights would turn on a moment, then it just shuts off without even showing anything on the monitor.
Anyone know what's going on, and why it's working long enough for me to type this some how after all of that?

I somewhat have a similar issue with my mom's laptop once a month or so.
Remove the battery from the laptop and let it out for about 10 mins. Put it back in and check again.

Also, did you connect your laptop to the powerthingy (I can't remember the right word >.<) while booting it?

I should update this but all my effort went into writing this lousy excuse.

Make sure you can hear the fans. Most bios these days will automatically turn off if the fans don't go to prevent damage.
