This movie has arguably the greatest opening sequence in an action movie of recent years.
It's a Hollywood movie about gigantic alien robots that transform into Earth/alien vehicles, fighting a civil war. The answer is obvious.
If you don't expect, no...WANT over-the-top action, then it's not for you.

Movie critics have to consider all the technical and cinematic elements.
It wasn't The Godfather by any means, so it's going to get shitty reviews in a lot of places. People who recognise it for what it was probably won't come away disappointed.
However, I will admit that this one is not as widely accessible as the first. This is definitely more for TF fans.

I have to agree with the last statement.
There is a lot of classic Transformer-TV-like moments were the movie will take the Autobots or Decepticons aside into a human free conversation. A lot more action involving the Transforms as well, not like the first.
And not so much a spoiler, but I see a Trequel coming on. . . if you can decipher what that means, you'll know why.

There doesn't necessarily have to be lots of one thing or the other, just make it good and balanced.
Iron Man didn't have lots of action OR plot, it had the right amount of decent story and impactful action, for example.

All the professional reviews have said the movie is horrible with a combination of the parents and 2 of the robots. I haven't seen it yet but most of the reviews remind me of Spiderman 3 and while it did great in the box office I really was disappointed by it. I will probably see it later this week.
