oh my god True Fantasy Live Online. The one game that would have gotten me to get Live during the original xbox days. The only MMO cancellation I lament more than TFLO is Gods&Heroes. I played the beta, and DAMN was it good. Such a shame it was cancelled.

Doesn't sound like they gave up on the idea of releasing the game though (TFLO) so we still might see it someday. I still have both Dark Cloud games and Rogue Galaxy so I guess I'll have to just stare at them and dream...=/

Wasn't there an MMO called Wish that was canceled? I remember seeing ads about it being released in an old magazine, but I haven't heard of it since.

I don't even know if saying the Fallout MMO was canceled is even correct. I mean it was more of just Interplay got to hold onto the rights for awhile but never acted on them.

Bethesda maybe the masters of massive single player RPGs so it will be interesting if they decide to develop a MMO inhouse.

Yeah, the Fallout MMO (I believe) is being developed by the remnants of Interplay... Fallout 1 and 2's developers that went bankrupt and cancelled their own version of Fallout 3, codenamed Van Buren (look it up). They sold the fallout license to Bethesda to make Fallout 3 for some cashola, but retained the rights to making a Fallout MMO. It's not too ridiculous to imagine they don't have the funds for a halfway decent MMO. Maybe someday.

A fallout mmo would have to be done looking like fallout 1 and 2 instead of 3
many computers wouldnt be able to run a fallout 3-mmo without lag

It's not too ridiculous to imagine they don't have the funds for a halfway decent MMO. Maybe someday.

That someday would have to be sometime soon because Interplay will have to show some sort of proof that they are in development by the end of the year and that they aren't just pulling a 3D Realms.

I don't recall that happening, just that Interplay only has a limited amount of time (unsure of the date but it ends this year) to show that a game is in production and is more than just an idea on paper. If not then the rights go to Bethesda for them to do with or not do with as they please.
