no point in upgrading an apg card. save up and buy a whole new system.

The 3850 is the best agp card you can get.

While we're on this discussion, is this card any good?

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814131082

I'm buying it, and I want to know where it stacks with modern graphics cards. It's definitely an upgrade from my onboard Intel chipset (don't ask), so I figured for that price I might as well.

I would recommend u a PCI or PCIe card and it must be a card with a nvidia chip
(GT, GTX etc...) I would buy a good gcard for 100-120 pounds than one for 60 that suck. i have a 9800GT from nvidia, but an old one with the small coolers. The latest 9800GT cards are excellent and are very cool (infos are from a professional photographer who uses a 9800GT) but u can buy GTX too. heard the latest one is 2 gcards in 1. sounds pretty cool to me

Finding a card that is PCI interface and low profile that is better than that is hard to do. Idk, if you know of one better (that's PCI and low profile) just tell me.

you can find HD3650/3850/4650 at affordable prices and those cards beat the hell out of anything 2xxx related

    for example

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814140094

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814131135

I would suggest the HD4650, 512MB, newer, better chip interface, etc etc etc at 50 bucks? that's a gift dude, compare the HD4650 with the HD2400 in the same price range, you'll see the huge difference, the HD2400 it's just a rip-off

here's a comparison chart by the guys at gpureview

    http://www.gpureview.com/show_cards....=580&card2=525
Both of those cards are PCIE, my computer only has 2 PCI slots. Now you see my problems in finding a card.
