Reputation: 100.o I got post thread ID 1337 for this! check out the URL
Reputation: 10well, I've been looking at Kaneva Game Platform. Its specificly designed for MMO's, and can be tweeked for mmorpg's and such, which is what I'm attempting for my project. I wouldnt call it very user friendly though. but seems to have some good points.
www.kaneva.com
Might still be down for revisions to the site
I'm looking for a real easy engine to make an MMORPG though that still has real good performance visually, anyone know which one's best?
Reputation: 10Sorry, an easy MMORPG engine isn't really possible. But the easiest out there are Kaneva and Mutliverse. I have a current copy of Kaneva if you'd like it. But Multiverse isn't out yet (I would personally wait for Multiverse if I were you).

Psi3D is a rendering engine, still in development, but it's looking very nice. It makes coding a lot simpler.

This is the website for the NeL engine, which is the same engine that "The Saga of Ryzom" was created on.
Believe it or not, this is a free MMORPG engine.

Reputation: 10could you post any free software for creating morpgs, and if so could you name which ones.
if you dont want to its fine just it would be pretty awesome if you did.
Reputation: 10Only the ones that are blatantly know to be expensive (Photoshop, 3DS Max, etc.), are really the only ones that cost money. Most things on the list are free. And if you're unsure, click on the provided links and you can find out.

Updated the thread/listing. Now free software is marked as such, and some formatting issues were resolved. Also added a handful of new engines/libraries.
Keep the suggestions coming!![]()

There is no support in Wings for doing animations.

Add ClanLib(http://clanlib.org), relatively new and very promising game engine. It's also open source
It's BSD licensensed so you're free to use it commercially
