Private servers you say? Haha.....Private servers ruin the fun 100%,For example, I remember playing MAplestory then grind kicked in then i went on a private server made the same character lvled to 200 had fun for the time...now all private servers are shutdown and i try to play maplestory normal servers but i cant find the motivation....I blame private servers,If anything private server should be the last resort....thats when you know your quiting...

private server increase the fun for me they have a way better community they have cool gms and some servers have custom content.Theirs loads of private server so if i don't like one i can move to another. Their will never come a day where all private servers are shutdown its friggin impossible.

People complain about grinding because not everyone has the time to do it. There are people out there who like playing MMO's but just don't have enough time for it. And when they do, they don't want to be sitting at the computer, killing the same monster for the next 4 hours just to hit the next level. And they don't want to continue to grind just to get to a certain point to have fun in the game. People are attracted to games that are fun. Even if a game is all about grinds, if it's fun, people will play it. If it's not, it's just like having a 2nd job... you just don't get paid for it.

Did you get level 112 or higher in 12sky2? The grind doesn't start until then and it gets ugly fast after that.

Agreed. That being said, i think it's pretty easy to see if the grind is worth the effort or not in most games. To me i deicide if a game is worth it or not by asking myself these 4 basic questions. I don't actually ask myself that, but it's my rules concerning mmo's.

1-Is the grind going to give me access to more features and stuff to do as i level?

2-Is the grind atleast somewhat entertaining?

3-Once the character is high level, do i get to the meat of the game?(PVP/PVE)

4-Most importantly was it worth investing x hours into?(Thats the most important one.)

If the answer is yes to the first 2 questions, i will atleast try the game. 3 and 4 will be different for everybody on every game.

The problem is that most mmo's on the market aren't even worth going to question 3 and 4. So yes, i did, do and will play mmo's. But to be honest i tried most of the mmo's out there, and there are only 3 i can say i really played.

Anyway, i'm not too harsh on games, i give anything a try, not only mmo's, even if a game gets a not so good review, i will give it a chance, but when i game is garbage, i won't force myself to play it. Most mmo's are garbage and i simply don't give them leniency because they are mmo's.

    My 2 cents.
