That obviously doesn't sound right..you should call them up and ask pronto; I wouldn't pay it.
Just this last month the bill came out like 300$ more cause Verizon charges so much per minute after you go over the plan. SUX. /:

Exactly, same here. If I ever do get one though I am going to make sure to get a fully unlimited plan. That is the best way to go. Only thing that sucks about not having a phone at 15 is girls think I'm ******ed for not having one, since evryone my age does...Originally Posted by Bacn

I use a pre-paid plan. My bill is about 50$ a year. =) I love it. T-Mobile prepaid 4tw. I don't text a lot so maybe thats why my bill is cheap :P

this is why i'm amused people try to say being a plan/cap is cheaper then prepaid.
which would be true if the hidden fees and charges didn't apply.
I noticed i spent 3x as much a month on a plan then i did on prepaid and i can tell you right now $200 a month for a mobile bill is complete BS.

the thing is, I have a data plan and a message plan. 1500 for $15 and I have yet to go past that.
I dunno why they're charging me extra for text messages ;/ it's like 200 of my messages were covered by the plan and then 183 of them were pay per text.

Phone companies take the piss. Few years back when i first got into the contract deal my fam got a joint contract bill and got a nice big £800 bill at the end of the month.
Ranged from international calls to calls lasting for 5 hours....

Whenever you start to sweat the sight of your phone bill, think of this.
In April 2006, a Malaysian man received a $218 trillion phone bill and was ordered to fork over the money within 10 days or face prosecution, The Associated Press reported.
After his father died earlier that year, Yahaya Wahad said he disconnected his late father's phone line. But Telekom Malaysia, the country's largest telecommunications provider, later sent him a 806,400,000,000,000.01-ringgit (U.S. $218 trillion) bill.
The company said the bill was for recent phone calls and said if he didn't pay up within 10 days he'd face legal proceedings.
"If the company wants to seek legal action as mentioned in the letter, I'm ready to face it," the Malaysian paper the New Straits Times quoted Yahaya as saying. "In fact, I can't wait to face it." A company official, who declined to be identified, said at the time that Telekom Malaysia was aware of Yahaya's case and would address it. She did not provide further details.
According to The Associated Press, it was not clear whether the phone line had been used illegally or if the bill was a mistake.
