So I got my cell phone bill...
And I got charged forty****ingseven dollars extra + boatloads of extra crap addons that's just making me RAGE at this point. I wouldn't have minded the forty****ingseven extra much if it made any sense but I got charged that much for TEXTING. I didn't even text that much :/ out of my 1500, I only used 300.

That obviously doesn't sound right..you should call them up and ask pronto; I wouldn't pay it.
Just this last month the bill came out like 300$ more cause Verizon charges so much per minute after you go over the plan. SUX. /:

Exactly, same here. If I ever do get one though I am going to make sure to get a fully unlimited plan. That is the best way to go. Only thing that sucks about not having a phone at 15 is girls think I'm ******ed for not having one, since evryone my age does...

Don't know what Go phones are, but they are like phone cards. You "put" in a set amount of money into your phone to use. Then when there's no money left you can't text or phone until you buy another card. They are like prepaid credit cards. Or WoW cards perhaps? I never played WoW but I'm pretty sure you buy one to play then when it runs out you buy another one. Same thing as prepaid.

I use a pre-paid plan. My bill is about 50$ a year. =) I love it. T-Mobile prepaid 4tw. I don't text a lot so maybe thats why my bill is cheap :P

300 text is about 30 bucks, I don't know what you did to get the rest of the amount unless it's 300 and 300 back...

the thing is, I have a data plan and a message plan. 1500 for $15 and I have yet to go past that.
I dunno why they're charging me extra for text messages ;/ it's like 200 of my messages were covered by the plan and then 183 of them were pay per text.

AT&T are bunch of rip-offs when it comes to anything other than internet on your PC. They want like 125$ per month for an iphone plan with internet. For that much money I can get like TTT123 all in one on my pc.

Phone companies take the piss. Few years back when i first got into the contract deal my fam got a joint contract bill and got a nice big £800 bill at the end of the month.

In April 2006, a Malaysian man received a $218 trillion phone bill and was ordered to fork over the money within 10 days or face prosecution, The Associated Press reported.
After his father died earlier that year, Yahaya Wahad said he disconnected his late father's phone line. But Telekom Malaysia, the country's largest telecommunications provider, later sent him a 806,400,000,000,000.01-ringgit (U.S. $218 trillion) bill.
The company said the bill was for recent phone calls and said if he didn't pay up within 10 days he'd face legal proceedings.
"If the company wants to seek legal action as mentioned in the letter, I'm ready to face it," the Malaysian paper the New Straits Times quoted Yahaya as saying. "In fact, I can't wait to face it." A company official, who declined to be identified, said at the time that Telekom Malaysia was aware of Yahaya's case and would address it. She did not provide further details.
According to The Associated Press, it was not clear whether the phone line had been used illegally or if the bill was a mistake.

Something like that, they don't expire every month however.
It's called "Pay As You Go". Basically, you have an amount of money stored on your account (Called 'Credit') every minute you're in a call, or every text you send subtracts from this, if you run out, you have to buy more, or your phone is a useless brick really.
And if the cloud bursts, thunder in your ear.
