I think you can fix it? :'(
Lawl.
Sorry, that's all I can really say.
Google is your friend.
Reputation: 733Google gave 3 possibilities:
- Overheating
- HDD problem (the cable got loose or it died)
- Someone bricked it (someone tried to hack it)
edit:
To fix try:
- Overheating: Give it breathing space, so don't put it in a tight space like inside a furniture. Leave 3-4cms on each side free to get enough airflow.
-HDD: try to reconnect the cables, if it doesn't help, it's time to call Sony.
I didn't find any fix for bricking... if it's hardware bricking, you'll have to buy a new ps3 unless Sony agrees to replace it (which I highly doubt so).

I should update this but all my effort went into writing this lousy excuse.
Wow out of like the small amount of people it happens to, you get it. Sucks.
Reputation: 424Screw modern consoles, I might just buy PC parts.
At least that won't get a yellow light and die on me.
Hopefully.
I've never heard of a yellow light of death, the only problem that pops into my noggin is something to do with overheating.
Make sure you keep that sucker out in the open and far away from carpet.
Reputation: 1151Damn that sucks Bryan. Did you ask the guy who sold it to you?
Did you get it as soon as you turned it on, or after you updated?
