So i Decided to try ROM

Well, I played it but i didnt really like it, Its not diffrent from most mmo's out there =/
Just good graphics and an nice community.

So i finally gave in to thinking it be a WoW clone and decided to download it. Took most of the day to download it and now installing. Anyone able to tell me what the game is like?

I have level 12 knight.
I just wanted to check the site before i log in ROM
Well what can i say?Total copy of wow if you have played it.
I love that every level you get a special bag you can open and gives goodies.
And the quests are very well paid.

The problem of the game is that if you are 12 level you can't kill 13 level mob unless you are "ProWZNORZ".

Try it.It's not so bad....

There's nothing wrong copying from the best. (don't argue, WoW has very good UI)
Otherwise we would be stuck with only a few FPS and a few RTS, for all the rest are just clones from the past.

RoM has very nice graphic if your PC is fast enough. Town lag is.... unfortunate. Yeah I hate it too.

what is town lag?

my graphics are maxed out, (as maxed as they can be, not all options are available yet. The next patch is going to overhaul the crafting system and a graphical update) yet I don't experience any lag in town, or ever for that matter.

You can't count that against the game because it is your computer, not the game.

The game is pretty decent with instances and also raids. I had alot of fun play them especially when you get a guild, they run alot of instances.

Most people experience a performance slowdown in the game in towns. It's just poorly optimized. I have a pretty beastly system that can max most games, and RoM chugs along for me a lot of the time.

thats interesting.. I remember a while ago when I tried it, it ran like shit. Now it runs perfectly on max. nothing on my system has really changed since then, maybe a graphics driver update at least.

I have a pretty average system as well, Core 2 Q6600, 4GB ram, 512mb 8600GT, and the game runs like a charm on 1400x900

Average lol yours is amazing compared to mine. I was having a hard time finding a good gfx card for mine cus i got crappy agp. xD

Lol.. I literally just started this game..I am a level 3 Warrior so far..I never played WoW so I can't really say its a clone, but I guess it is since everyone who has played it is saying so. Its a game that is defiantly worth a try..

not sure what town lag is but anyways the best thing you could do is to try it out and actually give it a chance, that means actually try and get to lvl 20

... I keep my PC is good shape, despite it's 4 yrs old and wasn't anywhere near the Top of its time...


Rly, I dunno what causes it. But mosy ppl complain about the low FPS in crowded area though.

4) Hows the community? childish, mature, inbetween?

i find the community to be pretty mature, on Artemis im in a guild called silentwarriors which is 3 guilds held together by an addon (guild chat etc)
and of course there's everything you normally find in a guild relations, immature guild competition, sh!t talking etc...
but haven't found people who are annoying childish.. yet
