Reputation: 20If you can't turn to the right lane, you can't. Tell your tester that. They should not and probably cannot take marks off for that because you would be forced to accelerate quickly and risk your safety to make it, which is worse.
If there is any case where your tester asks you to turn and there is no room, you tell them, that it would be unsafe and you keep driving straight.
I haven't taken it myself but my instructor told me this and it makes sense. I really want to take my road test as well but my parents don't trust my parking skills.
Also remember what to do when parking uphill/downhill/uphillwithout a curb, you may be tested on that.
Other than that, just know they are testing you on how safe you are, not how good your driving is.
i never took lessons, but im sure hell give you plenty of time to get in the lane, and if its not possible he should understand. he knows your new, so more than likely if you need to take a right turn youll be in the right lane the entire time til you take the turn, and when taking the turn he'll tell you to get in the lane necessary for the next turn.
