Gift cards and PayPal do not usually go well together. You are losing money because PayPal/Your Bank have implemented a knockback fee if they are unable to verify/register a particular payment method.

I got really effed with those charges when I was ordering from DecalGirl.

I actually got the money back, it was just in holding or something.

IDK if you can get it back on a gift card though :/
