Problem with computer (possibly graphics card?)

For several days now, I've had to constantly go between my onboard graphics card and my MX8400GS. Often times, the computer won't even start properly with the 8400, as the screen remains black no matter what I do. Occasionally, my computer won't even start with the onboard card. It's a godsend that I'm even on it right now, typing this.

I tried restoring my computer to an earlier date, which didn't work. Then, I wiped it and it's still doing this. Not quite as badly, as the onboard card's loading a bit more often, but they still aren't working all of the time, and occassionally my screen goes black and I have to restart the computer.

That's with the onboard card, by the way, I've only gotten the 8400 to load one time so far.

Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this, or even what's wrong?

Check if its loose or something.....8400, wth man thats sad.

It's not loose, I've tried taking it out and putting it back in, as well as unplugging the chords and plugging them back in.

Yeah, it's kinda sad, but I don't have much money at all, and it was on sale.

Pull the 8400 out completely and reconnect to the onboard card.

Permanently? Like, remove the 8400 for good and run on the onboard card until I can get a new one? :s

Wanna buy a used 8600gt haha? And yeah its probably the card thats screwing with the rest of things take it out.
