I wouldn't say that, some people that fight are good representatives of their art. But I hate those cocky fighters who act like assholes even when winning the match. They should atleast show some class and show that they have discipline. Example: Brock Lesnar.

I'm waiting for the day Fedor hands Brocks *** to him.

He is probably one of the best heavyweights/MMA fighter ever. P4P the best in my opinion.
No way is he p4p best fighter in UFC, Anderson silva or GSP have to be P4P

best they are the trumps in both their weight classes extremely tough fighters

they both are but silva he is truly one of the best

i think the best fighter is the most influential fighter and that would be royce gracie

Fedor doesn't even fight in the UFC for one.

Also I think his record speaks for himself, undefeated record an impressive victories over elite mma fighter. And his quick annihilation of Tim Sylvia.

Next GSP is also up for best P4P mma fighter.

But I don't think in any way Anderson Silva would be P4P the best. Of course he's a great fighter but nope. People act like he's a striking prodigy, well he is in the UFC but any seasoned thai fighter would hold is own against Anderson. IMO

I know I watch pride aswelll im just saying not p4p against anyone in ufc when someone compared him to brock lesnar.

I put anderson silva over GSP because GSp has taken worse loses than silva

but no seasoned thai fighter would hold up against his striking skills + jiu jitsu skills combined

Yeah I forgot to put in a striking match*

    My bad.

Although I think GSP has more in his arsenal then Anderson.\

But I still stand by Fedor is P4P the greatest he's probably the smartest fighter out there with a whole bunch of other things.

But we all do have our opinions.

Yeah but it should take a while for him adjust.

Wasn't he talking about it at the end of his fight with Alvez?

Well, I practise martial arts, both striking and grapling, but I don't want to abuse the term "mma fighter", when my experience only goes as far as a few amateur matches, and night out fights.

I'm looking to get into it more when I go back to Japan to study this fall, since the university I will attend has a really good gym and dojo. I don't have any ambition of doing it all out though, since I'm more interested in self-defense and security related use of MA, but it's always nice to spar with people of different backgrounds to learn and grow as a fighter.

As for fighters I like, that are great inspirations for me, Fedor and Takanori Gomi are the first I think of.

I really prefered Pride FC to UFC though. And as somebody mentioned earlier, I can't stand some of douchebag subculture that has risen around this sport. Also, despite the intensity and variety of MMA fights, I still prefer watching pure judo/jujutsu, or kyokushin/JKA over MMA.

I think i like kazushi sakuraba the most since he was always trying new things and doing wierd shit no one would attempt.
Fedor defntly the best sport mma fighter.and i dont see how he's a boring fighter constant hard strikes being thrown and always movement.
igor vovchanchyn also goes up there for all the wieghtless fights he's done and for all the giants hes beat up standing.
I dont think gsp is good if he knows u can stand up at all he will take you down in fear of getting caught hes not afraid to lay on you 5 rounds and have a boring match.I mean he dry humped thiago alves so bad he tore his groin.
I still think dan handerson can beat anderson silva any given day and have yet to see anderson silva throw proper high kick.

The only problem i have with sports mma is the ground it doesnt represent a real fight on the ground that good theres alot more poking, choking, biting in real fight when grappling.

And though fedor the best they did rip arona off 3 round decision in his fight against fedor, and his face was torn up after the fight with mirko.

I don't really understand this. mma is not boxing, and what fighter actually cares how they win matches as long as they win? Gps doesn't have the best stand up in the world, but he's far from weak in stand up. He's simply smart. Alves has better stand up then me, and i completely destroy him in groundgame.... so im gona stand up with him.Makes no sense.

Not only that but if you watched the whole fight GSP looked like he had better stand up then alves. He made alves miss almost everytime, was throwing the jabs(which landed) and waited for him to make a mistake, and took him down. Then began to ground and pound. Bloodied him up, did damage , got injured, still dominated for 2 rounds. I mean that's skill and heart right thier. Really it didn't look like gsp was afraid of getting punched, it looked like alves was afraid of takedowns. What happened to his "awsome" leg kicks... he stopped throwing them cause he was afraid of ground game.

Ground game is apart of the sport love it or hate it and can be very fun to watch as thier's alot of technique in it. That one fight that nate diaz had at the ultimate fighter 9 finale was awsome i think .(i might be thinking of the wrong fight here, but it was one of them at the finale)

I hope that Fitch gets another shot at gsp, Fitch is a really good fighter, and i know he got dominated by gsp last time but still, fitch is probably the second best in that division right now
Also dan henderson vs bisping = epic knockout
