I saw the trailer and some gameplay vids...is it me or does it look like its a bit empty? Are they done with the game or still adding more buildings and monsters?

I thought I'd have my say on this game.

Mortal Online looks good but as the guy said "it is empty"
It is unfinished and it is boring,
looking even from the very lastest video on youtube here. 3 days old.
semi boring to say the least. no movement nothing.
I do understand that.
Yes I know about alpha, closed, ob, etc etc watch the vid.

One thing I'm not getting my head around is the BETA Bullshit this game is giving out. It is bullshit.
From my take on it so far......
I signed up for beta a long time ago, god knows how long!
I also re-signed the past few weeks and again yesterday as they change there signup routine. and a new update so another re download of the game.
I've found out that they aren't letting people who are simply on the BETA list, they are giving full rights to those who have paid up front.
Ok I realize that devs have to get some money, but I don't think they should use this as a way of getting clients to buy the game and demoralize the beta tester.
Meaning....
if you buy a copy you get into beta
If you don't buy a copy, its a chance of 1 out 999 or so, lol
I think those that know me know I don't like to pay to beta test a game.

Servers were only 100 people cap......if u looked on the forums and now people were talking on the forums about them putting it up to 800 becuase there was a bug that crashed the server like ever 5 mins or so

Reason why they went to 800 is because of there payment for the Elite version of the game its sold at 999 copies at 79.95 euro's or something like that.
I can't really believe that the Swedish people have gone down this path of basically coercing future clients to buy there game to play in beta

I think what Mortal Online are doing, are heading downward to DarkFall's backlashings.

Why Should a person Pay to test a game?
Why would any sane person play a game that is unfinished?
He's basically Paying a mechanic to sit on his arse,
while he fix's his own car.
Its freaking mad.

I understand the costs of making a game.
I understand they want to know and be assured of a client base.
You can't offset the price of production before its created especially in gaming.
Far too many people are being are burnt these days
"chronicles of spellborn" is one standout case of a collapse and client wasting money on the game.

I don't see a problem of pre ordering a game.
Eb games and all those other game download company's
do not take your money for pre ordering before they have the goods being sent to you.
Mortal Online on other hand takes your money, straight away.
Congratulations you've paid for thin air!

Beta Testers Need More Respect!

Sorry but you are wrong,
payers are first, the beta waiters, are told that there's a fly in the soup and to take it back to the kitchen. lol and its not a whine i made it is a fact and it was within topic.
Example of good gaming practices:
Fallen Earth has my respect as a beta tester.
Its been a hard test over there, from poor graphs, to poor system play, through thick and thin. The long haul has now gained some good rewards.
As a beta tester for this game they get 100% respect from me. never once have they ask for money to test play there game.

Mortal Online isn't doing that, it so far stepped a little too much over that thin line as far as i'm concerned.

but everyone to there own.

lol not sure what you are saying but.. if your saying that fallen earth has good beta testers I agree lol.. when I was in the game it was really bad full of glitches and stuff and lots of people were playing so they must be good lol... anyway I might try the game again since its been a long time and hopefully no more crashes 24/7
