Final few hours of the Matrix Online

Party till we Pull the Plug! - 07/30/2009
Come party with us in game on Friday, July 31st from 12 Noon Pacific Daylight Time till Dracomet crushes everyone's RSI just before Midnight.

We will be partying on the Syntax server in Mara Central at the Hypercube monument. Virrago will be on hand dancing, handing out cake, and changing players into random disguises. Dracomet and Walrus will be bouncing between the servers and many other SOE staff members will be dropping by throughout the day as well.

Radio fan site CatziRadio will have DJs on hand to pump up the party by taking requests and providing jamming tunes. To tune into CatziRadio in game, type /radio play http://catzi.serverroom.us:6770/.

The game was very unique and had a combat system that was different than most. This game was shut down, where on the other hand SOE decided to gut SWG for a more mainstream combat system instead of the combat que it had.

They should do what Tabula Rasa did for there closure. Have an allout war between the Matrix dudes and the agents. That would be so awesome. As im sure the tabula rasa one must of been so epic.
Every Closing MMO should do that, Would be Insane.

matrix lends itself so well to an s4 type of gameplay, now if only they had taken that route @_@

I was apart of that war on tabula rasa, organized chaos, was so much fun, had sniper teams, assault teams, it was like a full on tactical assault at some points good times

I don't think they would do that since SOE owns the exclusive rights to the Matrix Online. However, they could release the source but remove everything that said "Matrix Online" and the quests and things of that nature.

Weird that all of the innovative MMOs keep dieing, and yet the masses complain about every mmo being the same or a clone of some other. Contradiction is becoming human nature. (Or at least mmo players)
