Default What Could have prevented Tabula Rasa's Death?

Right soo as we all know Tabula Rasa was shut down not too long ago and from anyone who played it most people knew it was a game with great potential its just due to some really dumb decisions and laziness i was dealt with.

Now im a huge NCSOFT fanboy I have all of their games and i dont think ive ever been dissapointed with one heck i even got membership on dungeon runners for a few months so i did indeed play TR for a few months.

So anyways onto the actual topic. What do you think could have prevented Tabula Rasa's death?

    Heres my list:

    New classes
    New raids
Some real content patches instead of constant fixes
Trying to fix end game features rather than the start which is normally the other way round lol. I found the start of TR to be amazing then as I progressed it got stale.
    Expansion maybe?

Only a short list but what do you guys think? Try to keep the discussion about the wannabe spaceman to a minimum lol

    Private servers...?

    =x

Erm. Advertising is the main thing really.

Most people didn't even know what Tabula Rasa was.

True its a shame i bet if mmorpgs had more advertisement in general nothing except the worst of the worst would die.

Pretty much. A certain big-name MMORPG with the most ammount of players happens to have the most intensive advertising of all.

    I don't think that's a coincidence. =x

I'm one of the people that looked at Tabula Rasa and said, "oh hey, it looks interesting", but never really felt like playing it. I guess it's just one of those genres that have it difficult.

If they got rid of richard garriet or whatever his name is, he wouldn't have wasted all the money gotten from TR just so he could go into space.

Hence why it breeded a bunch of new mmorpg fans they abused its rep and the money it made them to make even more money its good but not good lol since then they believe that WoW is godsend when actually its a mediocre mmorpg.

    - Better PvP system (according to lore it'd be pretty hard, but I don't see why it couldn't be something like Monster Play in LotR)
    - Better combat system, not only locking the target and clickfest
    - bigger world
    - public quests
    - more weapons + more melee weapons
    - new races (+ good pvp system)

I think my suggestions would of worked very well in making the game live longer.
